21 imagesTIjuana is Mexico's westernmost city, located along the Pacific Ocean, and immediately south of the international boundary with San Diego, California, USA. After Los Angeles and San Diego, Tijuana is the largest city along the west coast of the North American continent. Let's take a stroll along Avenida Revolución (Revolution Avenue), one of the main attractions for visitors to the city from San Diego. Part of the journey and experience of Tijuana is not so much the city itself, but crossing the international border to get there! You can go by car, by bus, or by foot. Just remember to bring your passport and, depending on the time of year, a reservoir of patience. In the summer, if you cross by foot into Mexico, and are ready to return to the USA, your wait could be as long as five hours. Alternatively, I recommend taking a guided bus tour with experienced professionals who are well-versed with border patrols and policies. Returning to the States by guided tour bus takes about two hours in the summer.
