21 imagesThe Las Vegas Strip is the section of Las Vegas Boulevard that is surrounded by very popular, renowned, mammoth-sized hotels, bustling shopping malls, fancy restaurants, fast food courts, and entertainment venues. The Strip is situated between the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” neon sign near the Mandalay Bay Hotel on the southern end, and Sahara Avenue at the northern end, just a few blocks south of the Stratosphere Hotel. Technically, the name “Las Vegas” for the Strip is a misnomer because it is located in an unincorporated section of a town called Paradise, Nevada. As you can imagine, no one is thinking of technicalities once they’ve entered the Las Vegas Strip. Take a look at these images and you’ll understand why!

2 galleriesCome fly with TIA over the colorful, illuminated spectacle of Las Vegas! Speaking of spectacles, as an added bonus, enjoy the magical energy of the Las Vegas Strip from the air when the Fountains of Bellagio are on full display! TIA collaborates with helicopter pilots to perform aerial photography projects over different cities. We remove the door on the passenger side, and I "hang out" even though I'm safely harnessed. TIA is not in the drone business yet, and prefers to work with pilots. As a result, TIA completely owns both the professional and personal experience of hovering above magnificent cities with photography equipment in tow.

3 galleriesDowntown Las Vegas is the city centre of Las Vegas, the 28th largest city in the USA by population. This is the center of the actual city -- Las Vegas proper -- that is separate from the popular Las Vegas Strip that frequently overshadows it. Downtown Las Vegas (also known as “DTLV” by the locals) is a different world from the Strip. To put it in a different perspective, if the Las Vegas Strip is the modern presentation and platform of the hotels, resorts, and casinos with which most people are familiar, then Downtown Las Vegas is the original blueprint. To appreciate the experience of Las Vegas fully, one should visit both the new generation and old generation. Here is a look at the old generation, which continues to revitalize itself over time.

13 imagesFar beyond the hotel complexes and resorts of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas, there is a vast, expansive realm of neighborhoods, residential areas, and riveting scenery that complements the urban centers of entertainment. For a very different, atypical view of Las Vegas, TIA took some time to explore the outskirts of the city, far beyond the Strip and Fremont Street. These images were the result of this eye-opening trek. Welcome to the Las Vegas Valley!

13 imagesHave you ever wondered what lies a block or two beyond the Las Vegas Strip? No? That’s understandable. Why would anyone, who isn’t a resident of the area, be that curious? TIA tries to answer this inquiry with this gallery. Here is what the “other side” of the Strip looks like (a.k.a. “The Backyard”).
