24 imagesAerial Photography of the natural landscapes and topography of Idaho, northwest of Boise. These photographs were achieved thanks to my friend, EB, whose friendship extends back to when we were teenagers in high school in Europe. EB is now a happy husband, a father of his own teenager, as well as a meticulous pilot of small aircraft.

30 imagesTravel on a scenic trip with TIA along Tracy Arm Fjord to the edges of twin glaciers, North Sawyer Glacier & South Sawyer Glacier, situated about 45 miles (72km) southeast of Juneau, Alaska. Given the ongoing overcast and low fog, the entire natural landscape during the excursion was *awesome*, in the literal denotation of the word. Take a few moments to view the images of South Sawyer Glacier, where an entire congregation of seals awaits your arrival! The fjord itself is named after Benjamin Franklin Tracy, both a Civil War general (for the Union) and the 32nd U.S. Secretary of the Navy.

32 imagesCome experience the different faces of Maui, one of the eight principal islands of Hawaii. Part of Maui’s mystic charm is that the island is so much more than what comes to mind when you think of its name. Even though the island is graced with its renowned, beautiful, sandy beaches bordered by crystal blue waters and hotel resorts, did you know that Maui also features almost every type of natural landscape imaginable, all within its area of 727 square miles (1,883 km2)? From the shores of Kāʻanapali to the seaside town of Hana, Maui features dense rain forests, arid deserts, jungles, deep canyons, and rocky coastlines created by volcanic lava. To literally cap all of these, Maui is crowned by its tallest peak, Haleakala, a dormant volcano with two peaks rising two miles above the coast of the island. In fact, most of Maui was actually created by the volcanic lava that erupted from Haleakala! As you ascend the majestic volcano to its summit, there will be times when you are at the same level as the clouds and, even more thrilling, looking down through them to the rest of the island below. Enjoy your excursion of Maui in this gallery (with a few, additional images from Kailua-Kona from the Big Island of Hawai’i)!

29 imagesIf you have never visited the Oregon Coast, please plan one of your next vacations here! All you need is a car, or even a bicycle, an umbrella, and some snacks. (Oh, most importantly, don't forget your camera)! U.S. Highway 101 provides all the scenic vistas and breathtaking, natural landscapes along the way. TIA often becomes very ambitious when traveling to new places, and believed the Oregon Coast could be covered in four days. That was a very erroneous miscalculation. 96 hours only offers a minute portion of the Coast, which is featured in this gallery. Fortunately, this only means that many more visits are required to photograph the rest! Marvel at the Cascade Mountains, or breathe in the sweet breezes from the Ocean Pacific while you walk along sandy beaches or forested pathways. Nature surrounds you, and is only pleasantly interrupted by the quaint towns along the way, full of friendly people with interesting stories to tell about your environs. For now, come with TIA on this brief excursion between Astoria and Newport. You will love what you see!
